Just be a Christian
Ever been confused, disillusioned, or downright frustrated at the countless "brands" of Christianity there are? Where did they all come from? Why do they teach different (and often contradictory) things? Is this the way it's supposed to be?
These excellent questions are worthy of answering. Paul wrote that Jesus' people must strive for unity because there is "one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father who is over all" (Eph. 4:4-6). This is only possible if we follow Jesus' instructions found in the New Testament--not written creeds, church (or family) traditions, or the decisions of denominational councils. Jesus is our only Head.
Here at McRae Road, this is our goal: to be Jesus' body. The first-century disciples were content to be simply called "Christians" (Acts 11:26). Why can't this be sufficient for us today? If this strikes a chord with you, contact or visit us to learn how to just be a Christian.
